GSG 26-24 Update to CWU Website – Employment Rights

As you are aware we are continuing to enhance our communications offering to meet the needs of our members. To that end we have developed an employment rights section on our website, which we update regularly.
Employment rights laws in the Republic of Ireland cover many subjects including work contracts, pay, hours of work, statutory leave arrangements such as maternity leave, and parental leave, health and safety, equality, sexual harassment, and other areas
This section of our website provides a short introduction to those rights and is presented in the format of an FAQ. The website does not provide a legal interpretation of any of the referenced acts, so at all times we encourage our members to contact their local trade union representative should they have any queries or disputes in relation to the legislation.
We attach a poster that should be put on notice boards so that our members can have direct access to the employment rights section. As always, we welcome any feedback on our website.
