Description
The NEC Finance Committee reviewed a request from the Mallow Postal Branch for financial assistance. The member concerned passed away unexpectedly on 12th October 2025 in tragic circumstances, which was widely reported in the media at that time. The member leaves behind his partner who is now the sole career of four children, one with special needs and the youngest child being only 2 years old.
You will appreciate this is a huge loss for the family not only coming to terms with the member’s passing, but the financial implications also, as the member was the sole earner in the house.
The NEC has agreed to make a significant financial contribution to the fund and approved a national collection and is appealing to all Branches to seek assistance from members to this deserving cause.
