GSE 01-24 Contact Centre/Retail Pay Increases

15/January/2024

Description

Following detailed negotiations with eir management, I am very pleased to report that we have secured a new collective agreement for pay increases for members in the Contact Centres and Retail (non-managerial).

Notwithstanding the expectation that progress on pay would not materialise until later this year, significant increases have been achieved effective from 1st January 2024 for all members in scope. Base pay increases of between 9.2% and 10.5%, depending on service, with a 5.8% increase for agents (2024 versus 2023). In addition to this, increases of over 7% have been secured for retail staff.

This far-ranging overhaul of remuneration across multiple sites is comprised of several different factors, depending on your role and tenure. These factors make it difficult to spell out the exact value of the increases. However, the company will issue letters to each individual receiving an increase outlining what it means for you, specifically. These letters should be read in conjunction with the FAQ documents the company will issue.

Broadly speaking, there will be base pay increases between approximately 5% and 10% depending on your service, bonus/commission model and job role. The increases are comprised of improvements to base pay and consolidation of a portion of the variable/bonus/commission pay into fixed pay.

Following successive increases in recent years, this agreement is part of the continued efforts by the Union to improve pay and conditions for staff in the Centres and Retail.
