Description
All please see names and details of local area representatives. As discussed at the AGM the structure of the KN Branch needs to reflect the whole country (some areas are over represented). Therefore, throughout the coming months we will be attempting to encourage individuals to become a rep in areas that have no representation.
The role of the CWU representative is to be the eyes and ears for the Union at local level. Their purpose is to deal with issues locally or contact the Branch Secretary to progress. It is worthwhile outlining the following agreed protocols:
All members who may have a grievance must in the first instance raise their issue with their Line Management – (If no response from line management tech mails their Area Manager. If there is no resolution, they contact their Branch Rep to make representations on their behalf.)
If not resolved the KN representative will pass the issue to the KN Branch Secretary who will take the matter up with KN Management. If still not resolved the issue will be escalated to CWU Headquarters.
