GSP 23-26 An Post Superannuation Schemes – Payment of 2% Increase to Pensions

I am pleased to confirm that Ministerial consent has finally been granted to An Post to apply the agreed increase in pensions by 2%, effective from 1^st January 2026.

The timetable for the payment of the 2% increase and arrears to An Post Pensioners is as follows.

• Fortnightly Payroll of 20^th November 2026: Pay all revised deferred cases, including the revised pension, lump sum and arrears.
• Fortnightly Payroll of 4^th December 2026: Pay the 2% increase, including arrears and the revised pension, to all pensioners who were on pension prior to 1^st January 2026.

Final approval to pay pensioners this increase, was secured in direct discussions with An Post, and finalised following CWU representations. For your information, I attach copies of correspondence issued to An Taoiseach and Minister Chambers.
