The ongoing ICTU housing campaign remains one of our most critical priorities, given the very widespread and damaging impact of the current emergency on members and their families across the country. Raise the Roof has developed a number of initiatives to help secure the policy changes required, one of which is a major petition on the Right to Housing.
Some 81 countries around the world have enshrined the Right to Housing in law. While this measure will not resolve the crisis of itself, it has been identified by many experts and housing groups as a key component in any overall resolution.
To that end, we would urge as many union members as possible sign and share the ICTU petition and support this important initiative.
