As you have probably heard, the PRSI scheme for dental treatment has been almost removed. All that remains is one free examination a year. The price for a private examination, scale and polish here is €90. (The national average according to a recent article in the Irish Times is €105.00). Dr. O’Brien will undertake a six monthly examination, scale and polish for €50 for PRSI patients. As some CWU members are already patients, Dr. O’Brien has decided to reduce this fee by a further 20% to €40 per person for CWU members and their families. Dr. O’Brien will reduce the rate by more than 20% from €90 to €70 for private patients. Emergencies will be seen the same day if possible.
