This section is a resource designed to provide you with useful information about your employment rights, membership benefits, and regular updates on issues which the CWU is pursuing on your behalf.

Following a Transfer of Undertakings in May 2010, the majority of our members in Barclaycard’s contact centre in Dublin became employees of Hewlett Packard. While HP has committed to retaining the existing terms and conditions of members, they have also indicated their intention to close the contact centre in Dublin and transfer these operations to Brazil. This transfer is expected to take at least 12 months from the date of the transfer.

During these challenging times, it is more important than ever for workers to understand their rights and to have a voice in their workplace.
