Do you work for The Carphone Warehouse? Then the CWU is the Union for you! We represent 16,000 employees throughout Ireland, many who work in the mobile retail industry, including Carphone Warehouse. 

The CWU sends a warm welcome to our new members who are employed by Carphone Warehouse. 

Managerial Staff 

Retail store managers recently faced a change to their terms and conditions of employment when the company introduced the “New Deal”. This resulted in a potential lowering of earnings to some store managers. Some managers decided to seek advice from the CWU. Subsequently many of the managers raised grievances with the company and they are currently being represented by the Union. 

Non-Managerial Staff 

The CWU has also received enquires from our members who are employed in The Carphone Warehouse retail stores. Most enquires are based around performance-related issues and targets. The Union has advised our members throughout this process. 

If you are facing a performance related issue, you should contact the CWU which will discuss your situation in confidence with you and advise an appropriate action plan based on your particular circumstances. 

Retail Campaign 

We are currently in the process of an organising campaign in the mobile retail sector and Organisers from the Union will be handing out information about the CWU to The Carphone Warehouse staff throughout Ireland. Initially Organisers will visit the Dublin-based stores, before rolling-out the campaign throughout the rest of the country. The aim of our campaign is to inform The Carphone Warehouse staff of the benefits of the Union and invite employees to join their colleagues who have already signed up.
