March for Repeal - Dublin 8th March 2017

02 Mar 2017

As you are aware a motion was passed at our last BDC to support the Trade Union Campaign to Repeal the 8th. The Trade Union Campaign to Repeal the 8th is helping to organise a March for Repeal on International Women’s Day – Wednesday, March 8. It’s organised by affiliates to the Coalition for Repeal.

The proposed 5.30pm start is from the Garden of Remembrance, moving on to the Dáil where there will be speeches and a rally. Further information can be found on:

I would encourage members to attend where possible as a strong union presence is important. The Coalition for Repeal is urging trade unions, trades councils, union branches and union activists to support this initiative by turning out and forming a substantial group behind the Trade Unions for Repeal banner.

We hope you can support the march and begin to inform members that it's happening.  We look forward to seeing you on the day and would encourage you all to wear blue!
