Launch of NERI Quarterly Economic Observer Autumn 2017

10 Sep 2017

This year’s Autumn edition of the NERI Quarterly Economic Observer marks the 23rd edition.  The purpose of the Quarterly Economic Observer (QEO) is to provide regular, accessible and timely commentary on the Irish economy, North and South. The main policy focus for this edition of the QEO is taxation. We assess the Irish State’s revenue sufficiency and highlight areas where Ireland is out of step with other high-income EU countries.  In addition, we propose a series of reforms consistent with economic growth, equity concerns and fiscal stability.

The launch will include a short presentation of the report's main findings followed by questions from the floor. Copies of the QEO will be available.
