CWU Ireland HA Convoy 2011

Our Union is proud to again be involved in this year’s convoy to Bulgaria. We are sending four drivers: Peter Ryan and Patrick Kearney from eircom; and Stephen Perry and Declan O’Meara of An Post to Bulgaria with Humanitarian Aid through the CWU UK Humanitarian Aid Charity and we are seeking the support of Branches for this years joint venture to provide much need aid from Ireland to an orphanage in northern Bulgaria this September.

The CWU HA is a unique charity in that they pay no wages or honoraria and the volunteers actually deliver the aid to the places it is needed the most. You can be assured that every euro collected or donated by our members will go directly to the purchase of this much needed aid.
